Shoots!

This morning I went to Tempe to do a girls make-up for a shoot she had today. The pictures are going to be of her and her daughter. I wanted to be at the shoot so I can make sure her make-up stands the test of the Az sun, and provide touch up if needed. She had me come over a few hours before her shoot, and I was nervous because was she going to eat a bowl of cereal with her made up pin-up lips?? I gave her a few tricks to keep her make-up maintained and hopefully she did it! 

I came home and did pin-up on myself because it was so fun! Haha. 

Haha. I felt so goofy.

Tomorrow I have a shoot at 4. Wish me Luck!

We got a little bored today and decided to take some fun family pics. These were the results. :)

Also, did a photoshoot this morning with a new model. It was really fun, and she did really great for her first shoot. I posted some of the pics on my modelmayhem account as well as at this flickr address.

I have quite a few more shoots set up for this month alone, so I'm really excited about all of this. 

What's Stronger? Determination, or Fear?

I was talking to one of my oldest friends today about things that we've always wanted to do, but haven't because we were ignorant about how to "break into" that certain thing, or because we were scared so we didn't even try.

I was just wondering if anyone out there had a passion or desire to try or do somthing, but haven't because something is stopping you, like fear or self-doubt.

What can we do about this? What are some ways to look past our fears and accomplish our desires?

Is it pure motivation that can drive us? Desire? Confidence?

* Re-do master bath

*******Make an actual living off freelance hair and make-up

So, I have a bunch of photoshoots booked throughout these next few months. I was thinking of starting a blog just of my shoots.
Anyway, I have like 3 blogs as it is.

My Over-sized Treat

I was having a rough day yesterday, so of course when Skyler got home I asked him to run to the store and get me a treat! He's done this task many a time, especially during my two pregnancies so I assumed he would know what I wanted. I'm a cake and cookie kinda gal, so maybe a few cookies from the bakery? A slice of cheesecake?

Well he comes home with this...

This HUGE ass cake. I was stunned. Haha. Where were these kinda treats when I was growing babies? When I was pregnant I got a little cup of fruit with some sugar for a treat, and now he brings home huge ass chocolate cakes. 

Anyway, I thought it was hilarious and as you can see, I barely have made a dent in the thing. Haha. 

Drive to El Paso

I went to El Paso, TX this past weekend to visit my best friend Aubrey. She moved there a couple months ago when her husband was based at Fort Bliss. I'm mad I didn't take pictures while we were piddle paddling around, but here's some photos from my drive. They aren't very good, but appreciate the art! They were taken one-handed! Going 90 MPH! Now that's talent!

 Of course, there was a storm as I was leaving.

 I sat in this same spot in traffic for about 30 minutes. Thought I'd take a picture of this tree I was sitting next to. 

 This is my favorite. I like the rolling hills, the beautiful sky, and the bit of road.

 This is a house at Fort Bliss. Aubrey said these are the commander houses, or something like that. The base was incredible!

So that's that. Had a great time. Definitely flying next time. It was fun to drive once!
